First Announcement

The materials data is very important in developing new materials as well as in using materials economically. The Asian Materials Data Committee (AMDC) is a non-profit association formed by Asian countries who engage in the development of materials information and data sharing. AMDC is responsible for organizing the Asian Materials Data Symposium every two years in order to support the cooperation between scientists and researchers in Asia on generation, collection, evaluation and application of materials data.

This time, I am honored to chair the Asian Materials Data Symposium 2016 which will be held in Hanoi – Capital of Vietnam. Following the previous AMDSs held in Jeju (Korea), Okinawa (Japan) and Hainan (China), AMDS 2016 will bring you the forum of exchanging the latest results and experiences on material data and data base.

Beside the symposium, you will have chance to visit Hanoi - the city of more than one thousand years with specific characteristics of history and culture.

We welcome you to the AMDS 2016 and hope to have the profound discussions and a good chance to make the future cooperation on material data and data base.

Sincerely yours,

Le Thi Hong Lien

General Chairman of AMDS 2016
